The word "innovation" can be used in many different ways depending on where a school or district is within their mission and/or vision. Innovation doesn't always have to include technology, rather it should be thought about as integrated transformation. 

If a school tells me they want to go 1:1 I will always ask why. If a technology director wants to build a maker space, I will ask how it ties to the vision, classroom instruction, and curriculum. 

The "whys" are not asked and answered enough prior to integrating innovation and design. I am continually passionate about having these meaningful and imperative conversations with schools and invite you in!
